CUDAS FOOTWEAR EXPANDS WATER SHOE LINE FOR 2014

RICHMOND, VA — July 6 — Positive feedback from retailers, consumers and paddlers are inspiring Cudas Footwear’s 2014 water shoe designs. The upcoming line, including water shoes in new colors and styles, are fortified with unique performance features. Water shoes have become a growing brand extension for the sandal company in the last few years, echoing the rising popularity of paddle sports such as SUP, canoeing and kayaking.

“Beachgoers and backyard barbecuers are always in our minds when we design. Sandals always have a major presence in our line and continue to do so,” says Andy Jacobs, founder. “Living in a river town like Richmond, we’ve seen a swell of popularity in paddling and we’re addressing the river warriors as well as our beachgoing consumer. Feedback from paddling and adventure outfitters have affirmed that Cudas is creating purposeful shoes that perform well and look great. Cudas also features an attractive price point that has resonated with our retailers.”

The 2014 water shoe additions feature sneaker-like styles, elastic lacing, Velcro closures, breathable materials and anti-slip perforated soles. The shoe styles are named after rivers, lakes and ponds to further demonstrate the trend toward freshwater.

These shoes will make their debut at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market and at similar trade shows throughout the year.
