CUDAS FOOTWEAR MINES LOCAL PADDLERS FOR STORIES AND INSIGHT

RICHMOND, VA — December 3 — Cudas Footwear, based in Ashland, VA, embarked on a grassroots project in the Richmond, VA area throughout the fall of 2013. The goal of the project was to connect with area Cudas fans and paddle enthusiasts, creating ambassadorships for the brand. The bonus for the Cudas brand was gathering valuable insights from a key demographic. “The ambassadors are so insightful about what the outdoors and the water means to each of them. We captured their stories because we think they will be inspiring to new paddlers as well as seasoned athletes,” says Jenny Howren, Brand Director, Cudas Footwear.

The stories range from a river guide’s intense training path to a mother of two/emergency room nurse who takes her SUP out on her off days. One paddler has created a genre of paddling he has dubbed “battleboarding,” which has taken him all over the world in search of thrills and sport.

“We love to see how Cudas water shoes have contributed to paddler’s adventures, making it easy for these active folks to wear vacation daily. Their insights also push us to evolve the line year after year to improve relevance to the active adventure consumer,” says Andy Jacobs, founder of Cudas Footwear.

These accounts will be featured on the Cudas blog and in the retailer catalog in 2014.
